Why should I choose RMA?
We have spent considerable time to, as Simon Sinek says, define our “why”. We believe the adage “that people don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it”. At RMA we are in business to serve people, our team and our clients. See our company values section of our website, we have defined our why as – At RMA we are here to inspire and empower our clients and our people to be better tomorrow than they are today. That means we continually look for ways to help, to educate to motivate both our clients and our team. We are not satisfied with staying the same – we want to grow daily – to push our clients and ourselves to be better every single day.
Why are we different?
At RMA, we feel it is our responsibility to serve our clients to provide them peace of mind and allowing them to focus on their business and what they do best. Our personalized service and attention to our clients help them achieve their financial and business goals. We strive to deliver quality work for a reasonable fee, using a team approach to ensure that our clients benefit from our collective resources. What size clients do you serve?
We provide services to clients of all sizes:
Do you specialize in a particular industry or a certain type of business?
We like to say that in our client base we have one of every possible type of client. And given the extensive experience of our team, we feel that we have literally “seen it all” in the business/tax/financial world. See the section of our website entitled Specialized Industries to see the areas where we have heavy concentrations of clients. We have discovered that our “ideal client” is the small to medium sized owner operated business and their owners. We have observed that we can provide significant value to these types of businesses, as they frequently need high level planning for tax, financial and operational issues. We would love to talk to you to discuss how we can help you achieve your business and personal goals.
Do you specialize in a particular type of accounting service?
If you look under the solutions section of our website you can see the many types of services we can provide. We emphasize prompt response and innovative solutions to a wide range of business problems, and we research and present in a clear and understandable language. We offer a wide range of services, including tax preparation-planning, estate and trust services, audits, reviews, compilations, bookkeeping and payroll services, consulting and business valuations. We serve a variety of individuals, not-for-profit organizations, corporations, and partnerships from various industries and we make serving each client our highest priority.
How do you charge for your services?
It is our mission to always provide value to our clients that exceeds the cost of our services. If we can do that, our fees should never be an issue. However, we understand the desire to have a set fee for the pricing of our services, and to the best of our ability we attempt to provide a set fee for the specific services we are asked to provide. The more data we can obtain and the better understanding of exactly what the project requires, the more exact our estimated fee will be. Keep in mind we don’t sell a tangible product; our work comes from the knowledge and time spent on each project. Sometimes it is not until we are able to dig into the data that we are able to fully understand the time and skill level needed to cost effectively get the job done. We strive to have your work done at the lowest, cost effective level to keep your fees as low as possible. We frequently compare our fees and rates to other similar sized firms in the Houston area and we are usually very competitive with them all. We are happy to have a fee conversation with you, and we will provide you with an engagement letter that defines the specifics of the work you want us to do and the expected fees to get the work done.
BOSS is the answer to your back office headaches. Our cloud-based solution enables you to hand complex accounting tasks over to us. We work the numbers while providing you 24/7 access to your data—and all at a fixed, affordable monthly fee.
This tax season is an important one for many business owners because it’s the first that will be impacted by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA). How big of an impact is dependent on your unique situation. We’ve compiled this short list of provisions that may affect the business community:
According to Forbes.com, Super Bowl viewers traditionally load up on millions of pounds of less-than-healthy foods during the big game—including ribs, pulled pork, tortilla chips, nuts, popcorn and bacon—all washed down with beer (the Super Bowl beverage of choice). If you are trying to stick to your New Year’s resolution to eat better, consider a few healthy substitutes for the traditional Super Bowl eats:
